AN ERROR OF JUDGEMENT

SIR HENRY MOORE gave East London's people his great sculpture 'Old Flo' FOR ALL TIME, it must never be treated as the property of any cash-strapped politician. Where will it all end if our politicians sell our local heritage and unique works of Art to the highest bidder?.

Ex Tower Hamlets Mayor, Lutfur Rahman, won votes by funding some popular causes like Bancroft Road Public Library, but on this occasion, he got 'Old Flo' completely wrong, his decision to sell Sir Thomas Moore's famous sculpture to raise money for a cash strapped Borough was a political mistake,

As one of the poorest Boroughs we needed enlightened leadership, and we got it when new Mayor John Biggs brought back 'Old Flo' to East London where she belongs.

The people of East London should never be deprived of their heritage again, 'Old Flo' is a gift that belongs to all the people of East London, and no elected representative should ever have authority to sell off the Borough's great works of Art.
